It is an unaided Christian minority educational institution recognized by Government of Uttar Pradesh, N.O.C. being granted to it on April 19, 1966 and is affiliated to CISCE, New Delhi. It is run and administered by St. Aloysius Education Society, Allahabad – Registered under Society Registration Act 1860 constituting its own Memorandum of Association. The society is governed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad Pvt. Ltd. whose Chairman is the Bishop of Catholic diocese of Allahabad. Rt. Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjaly is the present Bishop of Allahabad. Both St. Aloysius’ Educational Society, Allahabad and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad are charitable and welfare societies engaged in the work of Upliftment of the poor and marginalized through various educational, medical and social work schemes and projects.

He was born on 7th February 1958 at Vendore, Trichur Dist. Kerala. He did his schooling at Tyagarajar High School Alagappanagar, Trichur Dist., Kerala. He pursued his training for priesthood at St.Lawrence Minor Seminary, Agra, U.P. and St.Joseph’s Regional Seminary, Allahabad, U.P. He was ordained Priest on 11th May 1983. He was awarded doctorate from Angelicum University, Rome in 1996. He was elected Bishop of Varanasi on 24th February 2007 and now appointed as the Bishop of Allahabad on 17th October 2013.

He was born on 2nd January, 1947 at Kalathoor, Shirva, Udipi District of Karnataka. He did his schooling at St. Mary's High School, Shirva. He pursued his training for priesthood at the St. Paul's Seminary, Lucknow and Papal Seminary, Pune. He was ordained Priest on October 29th 1972. He was elected Bishop of Allahabad on May 5th, 1988.
